Challenge: Take Inventory of Your Resources to Use What You've Got
I need you to be honest with me for a second.
Have you ever seen someone else's success and thought, "Oh, well I could be like that too, if only I had their same resources."
Sometimes we get lured by new and shiny things that we see others having, and a mental block begins to form: we believe that, in order to have success like others, we must also have all the tools they have. But that's total malarkey.
You already have SO MUCH at your disposal, and now is the time to unlock some hidden potential. It's time to start using what you've got right now to make some magic happen for yourself.
By now we all know the year hasn't turned out like we expected. But, that doesn't mean we can't still be awesome and have a profitable second half of the year!
I want to challenge to to see what you've got already in your arsenal. Let's see what we can exploit to its fullest potential so you can get money flowing in.
Photographers, here's a quick 'use what you've got' challenge for you.
Take a moment to list out all the resources you have at your disposal to see what you're not using to it's fullest profit potential.
✔️Equipment: Do you have some pieces of equipment that you could rent out? Use in a new way to explore some creativity & develop hire-able skills? Sell for some quick cash that you can reinvest in something more useful?
✔️Space: Is your space serving you? Can you rearrange for better flow? Clean out a garage to make a studio to rent to others or use for yourself? Use your garden for minis? Turn a closet into an office?
✔️Knowledge: What is your expertise that you could teach others? Can you put it in an e-book or course to sell? Host an online photography class for clients or aspiring photographers? Host a webinar or workshop?
✔️Contacts: Do you have a list of all of your contacts? When was the last time you followed up with clients to get them booked for their next session? Or vendors to stay top-of-mind?
✔️Skills: You know you can use your shooting skills to book clients, but what else? What about second shooting or assisting? What about culling, editing, website building, social media scheduling, etc?
It's all about getting scrappy and learning to open your mind to creative thinking. Are you in?
